Christian Life is a Life of Adoption (Romans 8:14-17)

Message: Romans 8:14-17

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

Colossians 1:15-20 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

  1. The image of the invisible God.

Colossians 2:9-10 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

  1. The First Born of all creation

The Marks of The Life Justified! (Romans 5:1-5)

Message: Rom. 5:1-5

1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have[a] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

“The Marks of The Life Justified!”

Pastor Enoch Hanokh

“The justified life is the life imputed to those who believe in the vicarious death, resurrection and return of Christ Jesus the Son of God by which God graciously declares the sinners who have come to believe just.”

Enoch Hanokh

“How can a mortal be righteous before God?”

Job 9: 2

15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. 16 And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. 17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) Rom. 5:15-17

  1. Justified Life is a Life Lived with God-vs. 1-21 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have[a] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

§  We have hope in His glory

  1. Justified Life is a Life Lived in Circumstances-vs. 3-4 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.

§  We are forged in tribulations

Ø  Built on Hope

Ø  Hope molded in character

Ø  Character molded in perseverance

Ø  Perseverance molded in tribulations

  1. Justified Life is a Life Lived in Community-vs. 5 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

§  Held together by the love of God

Ø  A life shared in us

Ø  A life by the Holy Spirit

Ø  A life flowing from the love of God
