In Fancy I Stood by the Shore, One Day

 

The Stranger of Galilee

1. In fancy I stood by the shore, one day,

Of the beautiful murm'ring sea;

I saw the great crowds as they thronged the way,

Of the Stranger of Galilee;

I saw how the man who was blind from birth,

In a moment was made to see;

The lame was made whole by the matchless skill

Of the Stranger of Galilee.

And I felt I could love Him forever,

So gracious and tender was He!

I claimed Him that day as my Savior,

This Stranger of Galilee.

2. His look of compassion, His words of love,

They shall never forgotten be;

When sinsick and helpless He saw me there,

This Stranger of Galilee;

He showed me His hand and His riven side,

And He whispered "It was for thee!"

My burden fell off at the pierced feet

Of the Stranger of Galilee.

And I felt I could love Him forever,

So gracious and tender was He!

I claimed Him that day as my Savior,

This Stranger of Galilee.

3. I heard Him speak peace to the angry waves,

Of that turbulent, raging sea;

And lo! at His word are the waters stilled,

This Stranger of Galilee;

A peaceful, a quiet, and holy calm,

Now and ever abides with me;

He holdeth my life in His mighty hands,

This Stranger of Galilee.

And I felt I could love Him forever,

So gracious and tender was He!

I claimed Him that day as my Savior,

This Stranger of Galilee.

4. Come, ye who are driven and tempest tossed,

And His gracious salvation see;

He'll quiet life's storms with His "Peace, be still!"

This Stranger of Galilee;

He bids me to go and the story tell,

What He ever to you will be,

If only you let Him with you abide,

This Stranger of Galilee.

And I felt I could love Him forever,

So gracious and tender was He!

그 갈릴리 오신 이 따르는 많은 무리를 보았네

나 그때에 확실히 맹인이 눈을 뜨는 것 보았네

그 갈릴리 오신 이 능력이 나를 놀라게 하였네

내가 영원히 사모할 주님

참 사랑과 은혜 넘쳐

나 뵈옵고 그 후로부터

내 구주로 섬겼네

2. 그 사랑의 눈빛과 음성을 나는 잊을 수 없겠네

그 갈릴리 오신 이 그때에 이죄인을 향하여

못 자국 난 그 손과 옆구리 보이시면서 하신 말

네 지은 죄 사했다 하실 때 나의 죄짐이 풀렸네

내가 영원히 사모할 주님

참 사랑과 은혜 넘쳐

나 뵈옵고 그 후로부터

내 구주로 섬겼네

3. 그 사나운 바다를 향하여 잔잔하라고 명했네

그 파도가 주 말씀 따라서 아주 잔잔케 되었네

그 잔잔한 바다의 평온함 나의 맘속에 남아서

그 갈릴리 오신 이 의지할 참된 믿음이 되었네

내가 영원히 사모할 주님

참 사랑과 은혜 넘쳐

나 뵈옵고 그 후로부터

내 구주로 섬겼네

4. 이 세상의 무거운 짐 진 자 모두 주 앞에 나오라

그 놀라운 은혜를 받아서 맘의 평안을 얻으라

나 주께서 명하신 복음을 힘써 전하며 살 동안

그 갈릴리 오신 이 내 맘에 항상 계시기 원하네
