Remember Joseph And The Land Of Egypt-Part I, II & III
Grounding
Scripture(s): Psalm 105:1-25
Introduction
This psalm was
written by King David with its first part song as a hymn in 1 Chronicles 16:7
when the Ark of the LORD’s covenant was being move from Obededom’s house. The
Psalm recounts the covenant faithfulness and deeds of the LORD in the lives of
His covenant people, Israel. Your life goes through a lot of movements,
wanderings from places to places, through situations and all manner of
conditions before you are finally established in that God-give dream or vision
you saw many years ago while you were still young and unwise. In all your
wanderings, you have never been without the guardian presence and care of the
LORD your God. It is good to stop and recount, remember and affirm the covenant
deeds of the LORD in your life. God has an end towards which your life is
journeying, eschatologically speaking. God will not let go of you until you
reach that end. Praise God!

Christ has done (and shall do); light overcoming light. 3, 5, Isaiah 12:4-6

b. God
works out His divine purpose in through men. 9
c. God does not change.10
d. The
increase and possession come from God, count not on the numbers and your own
establishment. 12
e. Keep
moving with your eye focused on the covenant-God working things out in and
through you. 13
f. God
sees beyond your ‘crashedness, oppressedness’ and brokenness, He sees untouched
and He rebukes Kings for your sake, in them God sees the “Anointed” the Christ.
In you God sees the Anointed. 14-15
16-24
In Joseph is Judah was hidden who in whom the promise was hidden
a. God
is not moved by your suffering (Lamentation 3:27; 2 Cor. 4:17; Jeremiah
31:27-34), He is only moved by the readiness of your heart in move towards the
consummation (of the unfolding of His purpose). 16-18; Hebrews 11:23-27
b. It
is not about you, but the dream; the vision; the Word (that you have seen) the
unfolding purpose of God. 19
c. Get
ready for power! In you God by His power executes both salvation and judgements;
salvation for His own, but judges against the princes of Egypt (type of the
world). 20-24; 1 Corinthians 4:20-21

SMALL
GROUP STUDY ON THE MESSAGE: Remember Joseph And The Land Of Egypt-Part 1
Based on today’s message, let us consider
the following two questions in sharing with one another the understanding and
insight we have received from the Word of God. We are also encouraged to share
with others how we want to apply the meaning of today’s message in our personal
Christian life.
1. Mention how God intend to make known
His name in all the earth?
2. What does it mean to rejoice and why
should we rejoice? You may use the
dictionary.
3. God’s judgement or salvation is double
edged. Discuss.
4. How will apply today’s intimate knowing
(knowledge) of God in your personal walk with God?

1. What
is God’s ultimate goal of giving Joseph a dream and such harsh trainings from
human point of view?
2. Do
you believe that you are part of God’s plan in manifesting the glory of His son
Jesus to all creation?
3. What
should be your response to God’s dealings with you then?
4. Has
God given you any dream in fulfilment of His purpose on earth?
5. Will
you be willing to suffer for the sake of Christ?
6.
How will you apply your
knowledge of God through today’s message in your personal walk with God?
