Wishes of a Dying Man based upon Peter's wish for his reader in 2Peter 1:12-21.
Peter tells that he is about to die as Jesus had revealed to him, so before his departure, he wants to communicate his desires for the Christians who he was leading.
He writes;
1. I wish you to remember the things you already know
2. I wish to stir you up for the things you already remember and know
3. I wish you to keep remembering them and be excited about it long after I am dead and gone
What are the things he wants them to remember?
a. I have not changed the message for my benefits
b. The message I have preached is a historical reality centered in the person of Jesus Christ and approved by God.
c. The Scripture/written word of God is made more certain in the person of Jesus Christ
d. The Bible is not man made, it is God breathed because men spoke from God
