“The Life Justified!”
Pastor
Enoch Hanokh
“"To
be justified means more than to be declared "not guilty." It actually
means to be declared righteous before God. It means God has imputed or charged
the guilt of our sin to His Son, Jesus Christ, and has imputed or credited
Christ's righteousness to us."

15 But the free
gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much
more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ,
abounded to many. 16 And the gift is not like that which came through the one
who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in
condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in
justification. 17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the
one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of
righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) Rom. 5:15-17
- Justified Life is a Life Based on a
Gracious Act of God-Justification
§ It
is irreversible: The question of sin is resolved
§ It
gives right standing before God
§ It
is not forgiveness
§ It
is not pardon, with pardon the sin issue still remains: A pardoned criminal
still bears his crime.
§ It
is justification
- Mode of the justified Life
§ It
is freely given to us at the cost of the life of the Son of God-Justified life
can only be given to sinners.
§ It
is received only by FAITH
§ By
the shed blood of the Son of God
- Scope of the life justified
§ All
men
§ It
is the life that result in life of men
§ It
is a new life
Questions:
1.
What are differences between these three words: forgiveness, pardon and
justification?
2. How are we justified?
3. What are the particular ways Christian
life exists? (Ref. mode of the Christian
life)
