Message: Remember Joseph And The Land Of Egypt-Part I, II & III

Grounding Scripture(s): Psalm 105:1-25

Introduction

This psalm was written by King David with its first part song as a hymn in 1 Chronicles 16:7 when the Ark of the LORD’s covenant was being move from Obededom’s house. The Psalm recounts the covenant faithfulness and deeds of the LORD in the lives of His covenant people, Israel. Your life goes through a lot of movements, wanderings from places to places, through situations and all manner of conditions before you are finally established in that God-give dream or vision you saw many years ago while you were still young and unwise. In all your wanderings, you have never been without the guardian presence and care of the LORD your God. It is good to stop and recount, remember and affirm the covenant deeds of the LORD in your life. God has an end towards which your life is journeying, eschatologically speaking. God will not let go of you until you reach that end. Praise God!

SMALL GROUP STUDY ON THE MESSAGE: Remember Joseph And The Land Of Egypt-Part 1

Based on today’s message, let us consider the following two questions in sharing with one another the understanding and insight we have received from the Word of God. We are also encouraged to share with others how we want to apply the meaning of today’s message in our personal Christian life.

1. Mention how God intend to make known His name in all the earth?

2. What does it mean to rejoice and why should we rejoice?  You may use the dictionary.

3. God’s judgement or salvation is double edged. Discuss.

4. How will apply today’s intimate knowing (knowledge) of God in your personal walk with God?

1.     What is God’s ultimate goal of giving Joseph a dream and such harsh trainings from human point of view?

2.     Do you believe that you are part of God’s plan in manifesting the glory of His son Jesus to all creation?

3.     What should be your response to God’s dealings with you then?

4.     Has God given you any dream in fulfilment of His purpose on earth?

5.     Will you be willing to suffer for the sake of Christ?

6.      How will you apply your knowledge of God through today’s message in your personal walk with God?
