The earth was
without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the
Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters(Gen 1:2 ESV)
Now the earthוְהָאָ֗רֶץ (wə·hā·’ā·reṣ)wasהָיְתָ֥ה (hā·yə·ṯāh)
formlessתֹ֙הוּ֙ (ṯō·hū) and void,וָבֹ֔הוּ (wā·ḇō·hū)and darknessוְחֹ֖שֶׁךְ (wə·ḥō·šeḵ)
was overעַל־ (‘al-) the surfaceפְּנֵ֣י (pə·nê) of the deep.תְה֑וֹם (ṯə·hō·wm)
And the Spiritוְר֣וּחַ (wə·rū·aḥ) of Godאֱלֹהִ֔ים (’ĕ·lō·hîm)
was hoveringמְרַחֶ֖פֶת (mə·ra·ḥe·p̄eṯ) overעַל־ (‘al-)
the surfaceפְּנֵ֥י (pə·nê) of the waters.הַמָּֽיִם׃ (ham·mā·yim) (Gen 1:2 Hebrew)
THE THREE CONDITIONS OF THE
EARTH
Shapelessnessתֹ֙הוּ֙ (ṯō·hū) and Emptiness וָבֹ֔הוּ (wā·ḇō·hū)and Darkness
וְחֹ֖שֶׁךְ(wə·ḥō·šeḵ)
Darkness is a
troubled water
The deep is
stormy water
Darkness was
upon the stormy waters
God was watching the situation.
God cannot be in the midst of darkness
because when light shines automatically darkness disappears.
GOD IS LIGHT
This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that GOD IS LIGHT, and in him is no darkness at all. (1 John 1:5 ESV)
UNAPPROACHABLE
LIGHT
who alone is
immortal and who lives in UNAPPROACHABLE LIGHT, whom no one has seen or
can see. (1 Timothy 6:16 NIV)
BUT GOD CHANGED THE ORDER
Darkness Shapelessness
and Emptiness

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LIFE AND LIGHT
The Origin Of The Light Of God Is The Life Of God
Elohim, the spirit of God was a
life-giving spirit.
The spirit of the Creator has
life in Himself.
What we need is the life that comes
from God.
Out of His life we can see
light.
For with you is
the fountain of life; in your light do
we see light. (Psalms 36:9 ESV)
In him was life;
and THE LIFE WAS THE LIGHT OF MEN. (John 1:4 KJV)
The light shines
in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. (John 1:5 NLT)
When Jesus spoke
again to the people, he said, “I am the LIGHT OF THE WORLD. Whoever follows me
will never walk in darkness but will have the LIGHT OF LIFE.” (John 8:12 NIV)
What is
Light?
Light is the
unveiling of the Life of God within You which becomes your direction and guide
in your journey in this world.
Your word is a LAMP
to my feet and a LIGHT to my path. (Psalms 119:105 ESV)
And God said,
“Let there be light,” and there was light. (Gen 1:3 ESV)
And God saw that
the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. (Gen 1:4 ESV)
GOD CHANGED THE ORDER AND
PROVIDED SOLUTIONS TO THEM ALL
He solved the problem of
darkness with light
After the light shined, God
gave shape to the World.
After solving the problem of
shapelessness, He filled the World with good things.
Why should light come first among all the problem?
Because light is the very beginning of any solution in the life of any
man
FATHER OF LIGHTS
Every good and perfect gift
is from above, coming down from the FATHER OF THE HEAVENLY LIGHTS, with whom
there is no change or shifting shadow. (James 1:17 BSB)
