Jesus explains that his suffering and death on
the cross is not a hindrance to His mission but the cause.
Another affect that suffering has on the church
is that it invigorates the church.
and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins
should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
Luke 24:47 ESV
And I will make of you a great nation, and I will
bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless
those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the
families of the earth shall be blessed.”
Genesis 12:2-3 ESV
It shall come to pass in the latter days that
the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the
mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow
to it, and many peoples shall come, and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain
of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways and

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit

We should share out of love and not guilt.
And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father
upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”

We can
do this with the power of the Holy Spirit. The spirit covers us like clothing that
cannot be penetrated.
